OWLS ROOST
OWLS ROOST – A luxurious 1 bedroom first floor apartment in a lovely old converted barn. Sorry no dogs at Owls Roost.
Owls Roost is the first floor of a lovely barn conversion, once believed to have been the original house, on the outskirts of Tavistock, approx 2 miles from the town centre, on the edge of the moor and within Dartmoor National Park.
A short walk on an adjoining bridlepath takes you directly onto Cox Tor, sitting above Tavistock, with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside.
In the picture Owls Roost is the property which can be seen in the left hand side of this picture, below and in the middle of the trees nestling at the foot of Cox Tor.
From here you can walk for miles on Dartmoor and explore the many historic sites in the locality.
We are situated on cycle path 27, on the National network of cycle paths. There is plenty of storage space for cycles or local hire can be arranged.
You have your own private entrance with parking and a lovely colourful garden to relax in. A barbeque is available if you enjoy eating al-fresco on those warm summer evenings.
The apartment has been designed with luxury and romance in mind and is spacious, light and comfortable.
Wonderful beams have been exposed throughout and feature in each room.
The large bedroom has a king sized pine bed and plenty of storage space for clothes. Bed linen is provided free of charge.
The bathroom is special with a double bath for you to start your relaxing evening when you arrive, whilst enjoying a glass of your complementary wine.
There's also a separate shower enclosure. Towels are provided but please bring your own towels if you intend to visit the beach.
The living room has a wood burner and settee with recliners, a flat screen TV with freesat HD, DVD player, Ipod dock and a CD/radio. There are plenty of DVDs and CDs for your use together with maps and guide books of the surrounding areas. Free Wi Fi internet access is also available.
The fitted kitchen provides a cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and all the other utensils and equipment to ensure you have a comfortable stay. There are laundry facilities on site.
